AJAX (Extended Throw)

AJAX (Extended Throw)

Thermal inkjet is well suited for printing on flat surfaces where the head can be positioned close to the substrate. Non-flat surfaces, mixed substrate thicknesses, and raised edges have always presented a problem…until now. With an ink throw distance up to 0.5″, and solvent ink compatibility, the Ajax TIJ printers do what was previously achievable only with continuous inkjet (CIJ), but at a fraction of the cost, complexity, and maintenance requirements. Ajax is based on 0.5″ cartridge technology, with print widths up to 4.0″.

0.5″, 1.0″, 1.5″, 2.0″, 4.0″, or custom print width

0.5″, 1.0″, or custom print width

  • 0.5″ Throw Distance – Print on irregular objects; Competes with CIJ at a fraction of the cost
  • Cartridge-based – Clean and convenient; Easy to replace cartridges
  • Low-cost Hardware – Entry-level price
  • Intelligent Ink Tracking – Automatically track ink usage by cartridge even when switching between stalls
  • Compact Design – Seamless integration with your production line
  • Substrate Flexibility – Water-based and solvent inks to print on porous and non-porous substrates, coated stocks, plastics
  • Modular and Scalable – Choose print width to match your application; Configure up to 16 head modules per system
  • Low-Profile Option for Case Coding – Horizontal printing close to bottom of case
